With more than 20 years of experience in the hospital and medical office settings, Margaret (Peggy) Delmastro is a seasoned nurse practitioner committed to raising the standards of patient care. Her expertise lies in palliative care, acute and chronic pain management, and supporting patients and families during their end of life. As a compassionate caregiver, she places patient well-being at the forefront while upholding a steadfast dedication to excellence.
Peggy’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Fullerton, a Master's Degree in Nursing from California State University, Long Beach, and is nationally board certified as a nurse practitioner in Family Practice.

During her tenure at St. Joseph Hospital, Peggy played a vital role as a key member of the Palliative Care team, leading efforts to improve symptom management for patients with serious illnesses. Her responsibilities included conducting thorough patient assessments, prescribing medications, and facilitating family discussions to ensure alignment with patient preferences. She has been recognized with awards such as Employee of the Year and Best Team Member at St. Joseph Hospital.
Prior to her time at St. Joseph Hospital, Peggy specialized in managing endocrine disorders at Dr. Samuel Mayeda's office, with a focus on diabetes and its complications. Through patient education and personalized care plans, she empowered individuals to effectively manage their conditions. Additionally, she played a key role in promoting insulin pump therapy and obtained certification as a Diabetes Educator.
In addition to her professional achievements, Peggy is a devoted wife and mother of three grown children and seven grandchildren. She enjoys spending quality time with her family and is actively involved in her church and community.
